Buckman Journal, named for the historic Portland neighborhood, is a physical manifestation of the written and graphic narratives crafted by a burgeoning arts community that is free from the stodginess of typical literary journals. Buckman aims to discover and uplift new talent and often unheard voices, particularly from people of color and the LGTBQ family. More than just a publication, Buckman is a movement that aims to connect and encourage collaboration among visual artists, writers, and the growing Buckman Journal readership.
I’m featured in the in inaugural issue of Buckman Journal ! Come help me celebrate at our launch party on Aug. 9 at the Nucleus Art Gallery on Hawthorne Blvd from 7-9pm. Buckman Journal is discovering and uplifting new talent and often unheard voices, particularly from people of color and the LGTBQ family.
